Hubby disappeared for a few hours this afternoon and when he came home he had some yummy looking pork chops along with some other cool stuff he picked up at the grocery store.
We decided to have taco salad tomorrow and enjoy the pork chops this evening. I grew up with Shake n Bake and apple sauce so that's what my family gets.
Our menu was shake 'n' bake pork chops with apple sauce, french cut green beans, smashed potatoes and coleslaw.
I think the coleslaw was my favorite part of the meal as it was home made. Here's my recipe for the dressing (we just used a bag of preshredded coleslaw mix--I think the carrots made it taste better.
Mix:I actually doubled the recipe for the bag of Dole shredded coleslaw mix we had. I thought it was perfect.
1/3 cup mayo
1 TBSP Vinegar
2 TSP sugar
1/2 TSP celery seed.
Pour over shredded cabbage.
