So. I'm taking the final for my Elements in English class tomorrow morning. I should really be studying for it but I'm looking to do ANYTHING but... In the past few days since I finished up my notebook (got 100 out of 100 points) and the PowerPoint project (got 50 out of 50 points), I've read a couple (or more) books, reminisced about all eight of my "first kisses", had two yard sales, and watched The Family Stone, Prime, and The Benchwarmers.
Kevin picked them out yesterday while I was soaking my weary limbs in a bath tub. They weren't movies I would have chosen... Blake reviewed The Benchwarmers on his blog this past week. I'm not sure I agree with him about it, though. I tend not to like most of the movies that have Adam Sandler involved in some way (he produced The Benchwarmers) in part because they're so, well, crude-- although the couple movies he's starred in with Drew Barrymore have been among my favorites. I don't like crude. The Family Stone was kind of sad. Prime dragged. With all three of them, I was disappointed in the language and sexual references. I don't understand the necessity to throw in the "f-bomb" to supposedly make a good movie. Or sex for that matter... Oh, I could go off on a tangent here, couldn't I? I could REALLY avoid studying...
Anyway, I love DVDs because you can skip right by any offensive scene... Let's just close by saying they weren't for Sunday viewing...
